JACKSON, Miss.- Free pancakes! You can get free pancakes until 10 p.m. tonight as part of the restaurant chain’s 10th annual National Pancake Day festivities.
You can get a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes and if you feel inclined you can leave a donation for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
IHOP started offering free pancakes in 2006 and has raised nearly $16 million for charities, according to the company.
This year, the goal is to raise $3.5 million nationwide with more than 1,500 stores participating, including IHOP’s throughout Mississippi.
Miss Mississippi’s Jasmine Murray was at the IHOP in Jackson in support of Batson Children’s Hospital.
“The turnout has been amazing. There have been so many people here eating pancakes and having a great time.” Murray said, “I think that’s the most important thing, that you’re able to come out and support a great cause and have a really great time as well.”
