All Fred’s locations in Mississippi and across the country will be closing their doors.
Following several large closure announcements in recent months, the discount retailer has now filed for bankruptcy, and their remaining stores will close within the next 60 days. 66 Fred’s locations in Mississippi had already closed, and currently, 9 Fred’s stores and 35 pharmacy locations remain.
In a press release, the company stated that it expects to continue fulfilling prescriptions at most of its pharmacy locations while continuing to pursue the sale of its pharmacies as part of court-supervised proceedings.
Liquidation sales have begun at all remaining locations.
