The fourth suspect involved in a shooting in Jackson County in November has been taken into custody and charged with accessory after the fact.
According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, 43-year-old Tanisha Gayle Chiasson was arrested at a home in Vancleave on Monday night for her involvement in the shooting.
Sheriff John Ledbetter added that charges are currently pending against the homeowner. Chiasson had an initial hearing on Tuesday, January 2 in county court, where her bond was set at $150,000.
Three other suspects have already been charged in connection to the incident, which took place around 5:00 p.m. on November 22 on Scott Street in the Latimer community. All four individuals fled the scene shortly after officers arrived before crashing into a delivery truck and running into a nearby wooded area.
Matt Fletcher, 18, was taken into custody that same night and charged with shooting into a motor vehicle. He was then transported to the Jackson County Adult Detention Center, where his bond was set at $250,000.
Officials later released that the two other suspects included a 16-year-old charged with shooting into a motor vehicle and 33-year-old Jaclyn Nicole Sisti, who was wanted for accessory after the fact.
No injuries were reported from the shooting.
