Foul Call Argument Could be Cause of Deputy’s Deadly Foul Play

JACKSON, Miss. — A Hinds County Sheriff’s Deputy is facing a murder charge in the death of a basketball coach.

Justin Griffin died Monday of blunt force trauma to the head with internal bleeding.  Investigators said he was punched during an argument over a play with deputy Joshua Adams, 37, during a Sunday game.  Adams was off duty at the time.  A Hinds County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson said Adams has been suspended as part of an internal investigation.
