He goes by a few names, such as Downtown Bruno and Harvey Whippleman, but now he has a new title.
Bruno Laurer was recently elected as Alderman in the small town of Walls, Mississippi. In an interview with WMC, Action News 5, Laurer said, “I want to do everything I can to help this town and help the mayor, help the alderman, and make this town even better than it is.”
Laurer, who spent many years as a pro-wrestler, said Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson helped him to get his career started.
Johnson said Laurer was there for him at a critical juncture in his life, so he arranged a big surprise for him in December. You can see it and hear their story in the video below:
Lauer will serve a four year term.
