The former Director of the Mississippi Veteran’s Cemetery in Newton County has been convicted of embezzlement. State Auditor Shad White says Henry Gruno used money intended to maintain the final resting place for many of our state’s veterans to make over $14-thousand in personal purchases.
Gruno has been ordered to repay over $30-thousand in restitution and fees.
