Former Ole Miss Coach Houston Nutt has filed a civil suit against the university amid a controversy of NCAA allegations.
The spotlight has already been shining on Ole miss with accusations on questionable player recruitment from the NCAA, and now Nutt is accusing the athletic department and university as a whole of character defamation.
Nutt says terms of his severance in 2011 were violated after derogatory comments were made about him during the NCAA investigation of the Ole Miss football program.
While neither the University or the foundation have commented, Head Coach Hugh Freeze is expected to speak Thursday at SEC Media Days in Hoover, Alabama.
