JACKSON, Miss.–A flood advisory was issued Saturday morning by the National Weather Service for much of Mississippi, with the possibility of some minor flash flooding and river flooding expected with heavy rain.
The advisory extends from a Cleveland to Grenada to Columbus line southward to a Natchez to Hattiesburg line.
The Weather Service said that several inches of rain were possible through the weekend into early Monday, with the ground already Saturated and some rivers already at flood stage.
