STAR, Miss.–Gratification of lust, or essentially child molestation, is what’s going to send the former volunteer fire chief of Star to prison. Steven Boggs was convicted Thursday by a Rankin County jury of a crime that happened almost two years ago. He got 15 years in the state pen.
The little girl’s mom is the one that came forward with the info that her daughter had been touched by Boggs. She told police about it in July, even though it happened well before then. The 53-year-old was arrested for the second time.
You may rememberwhen he was arrested for the first time in 2010. It looked like he was going up then, but when it got down to the trial, the little girls parents didn’t want her to testify.
