WINONA, Miss.–What may have been the main source to buy food in Winona was seriously damaged by a fire Monday evening. The Super Value caught fire and firefighters from as far away as Greenwood and Webster County ruched to help get it under control.
Nobody was hurt in the fire, but the local newspaper reported that some firefighters had to be treated for exhaustion.
There may have been a section of the roof damaged badly enough to threaten to fall in.
Crews were on the scene well into the night.
