Finding Myra Lewis, The Search Continues (Video Included)

MADISON COUNTY, Miss. – Madison County Sheriff Investigators and FBI agents were back out in Camden near the home of Myra Lewis searching for the missing toddler Tuesday afternoon.

Detectives were following leads based on a report given to them Monday afternoon by Find Me, a organization of retired law enforcement personnel,  psychics and canine search and rescue teams, dedicated to finding missing persons and victims of homicides.  “They gave six different GPS locations where she could be.  We’ve got men and women there right now,” said Madison County Sheriff Randy Tucker.  “We will hopefully tonight, know something.”

Some of the areas had previously been searched following Myra’s disappearance March 1.  “But it never hurts to look again.  And we are going to follow the (Find Me) report and exhaust all these leads,” he added.

Tucker said he personally spoke with Myra’s mom Tuesday morning regarding the report.  “She is aware of the report that was submitted and she is very hopeful.”

While Tucker seemed a bit skeptical of the idea of psychics, he said he too remains hopeful. “Law enforcement has to deal in fact.  I have never been involved in a case where psychic information lead to a conclusion.  I would hope that this one would be a first for me.  Until I could have some type involvement where the conclusion is positive, I don’t know how I would feel about it.”

Lewis said some psychics with Find Me believe Myra is still alive, while some do not.  Find Me Founder Kelly Synder said in an earlier interview with News Mississippi that “right know no one knows the answer to that question.”

The Find Me group is still willing to send its own search team to Mississippi to assist in locating Myra, but only if Madison County Investigators request their help.  The group’s services would be free to Myra’s family and the sheriff’s department.

A reward of up to $20,000 is still available for anyone with information that leads to Myra’s whereabouts.  If you see her, call the Madison County Sheriff’s Department.
