A female staff member and an inmate at the Yazoo County Regional Jail are reported to have been stabbed.
According to Yazoo County Sheriff Jeremy McCoy, the unidentified officer and inmate were stabbed by another inmate in the jail. The incident is said to have occurred Tuesday morning around 10:30 a.m.
This situation is now under control and is currently being investigated, authorities report. The staff member and the inmate have been treated for their injuries.
