JACKSON, Miss. – The father of a 9-month-old baby found dead inside a Jackson home Sunday has been charged with capital murder.
Jerry Michael Alexander Kees, 20, is in custody and has been charged with capital murder in the death of his son, Cory Kees, following police investigation.
Autopsy results showed the child suffered several injuries, including a fractured skull, and blunt-force trauma, Jackson Police Department said.
Kees was developed as a suspect during the follow-up questioning, police said. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities say there could be more charges to come.
