JACKSON, MISS– When Mississippians decide to help, they’ll do so by any means necessary.
Statewide, Mississippians are uniting the fastest, most efficient, and most productive way they know how–by harnessing social media.
For example, the Facebook group Jackson, MS Area Donations for Louisiana Flood Victims, has over 6,000 members, with constant updates of who is donating what, where you can donate, and when it is being delivered.
Others have taken to posting in their groups, on their pages, or simply sharing links to get the word out about supplies needed and shipped.
