Expect Rain Halloween Night

JACKSON, Miss.–If you live in Mississippi it’s likely to be a soggy Halloween night.

“It looks really wet,” said National Weather Service meteorologist Chad Entremont. “There’s a pretty decent storm system and cold front that’s going to be approaching the area.”

The system has potential to produce severe weather as it travels through the magnolia state and it really couldn’t show up at a worse time for trick-or-treaters.

“It’ll be Thursday afternoon and overnight, generally for much of the state,” said Entremont.

Temperatures will be pretty mild leading up to the rain, but he said even afterward that they wouldn’t dip near as much as what the state saw this last weekend.

Also, the second tornado season in Mississippi starts the day after the fun on November 1.
