JACKSON, Miss.- Michelle Byrom was in line for execution and would have been the first woman executed in Mississippi in 70 years, but the Supreme Court has denied setting an execution date.
Byrom was found guilty of hiring a hit man to kill her husband back in 1999, but credible sources have pointed the finger at her son who may have taken part in the murder of her husband and what he claims as an abusive husband and father.
Her lawyers are taking a lot of hits for not covering her case correctly.
The Mississippi Supreme Court issued an order today, March 27, denying the state’s motion to set an execution date for Byrom. The case is Michelle Byrom v. State of Mississippi and at this link: http://courts.ms.gov/Images/
