WALTHALL COUNTY, Miss. – A Junior High School teacher from Walthall County Junior High has been sentenced to prison after admitting to having inappropriate sexual contact with four students between the ages of 15-17.
Nolana Griffin plead guilty to four counts of sexual battery of a person under the age of 18 by an authority figure. She faced up to 120 years in jail, but Judge Michael Taylor sentenced her to only 15 years behind bars and 10 years supervision. Griffin was also ordered to undergo a mental exam.
She taught English, Reading, Science and Health at Salem Attendance Center.
