PONTOTOC, Miss. — Former first round NFL draft pick Peria Jerry has been arrested on a felony drug charge in Pontotoc County.
Jerry was taken into custody Thursday following a traffic stop. In a routine search, deputies said they found approximately four ounces of marijuana.
Jerry, 30, is from Batesville and played for Ole Miss before getting drafted into the NFL. He was a defensive tackle for the Atlanta Falcons, and retired from league after the 2013 season.
