Two escaped inmates in Hinds County are now back in custody.

According to the Hinds’ County Sheriff’s Office, 20-year old Orlando Carey and 29-year-old Rodricus Kentrell Robinson escaped from Raymond Detention Center early this morning.

Major Pete Luke stated in a news release that the two inmates were able to break out and get into a crawl-space, but neither got very far.

“We were able to get the area sealed off for a thorough search this morning when both were discovered hiding in a confined maintenance area,” Luke said.

Carey, of Jackson, is being held on Capital Murder, Carjacking, Disorderly Conduct and False Pretense.

Robinson, of Clinton, is being held on multiple counts of Burglary and a hold from another agency.

After the attempted escape, both will face new charges.
