JACKSON, Miss— Entergy Mississippi in Rankin, Madison, and Hinds counties are going up the poles this week to make sure they’re holding up.
It is part of the annual inspection to make sure the light poles are reliable, safe, and fully-functional.
“This initiative is one of hundreds of such projects Entergy Mississippi will tackle this year,” says Robin Jeter, who serves as the vice president of customer service for Entergy.”
During these routine inspections, if any issues are found in the poles they are reported immediately to Entergy for repair or replacement.
The poles are inspected by Osmose Utility Services Inc. They expect to take a look at over 32,000 utility poles this year.
