JACKSON, Miss. – Entergy customers will see an increase in their rates starting in February. The Mississippi Public Service Commission voted unanimously Thursday to approve a new rate plan that increases overall rates by $16.2 million a year.
The average residential customer who uses 1,000 kilowatt hours per month would see bills increase by $1.75 a month to about $110 a month, according to Entergy. However, because a separate fuel charge ends in January, the company anticipates bills will actually fall slightly.
