JACKSON, Miss.–Tuesday may be the last dry day in Mississippi for a while and that’s after last week’s dismal weather pattern that brought rain, a few storms and flooding. By Wednesday showers and storms are rolling in again.
National Weather Service Meteorologist Dan Byrd said showers will start moving in from the west by early Wednesday.
“Some of the showers and thunderstorms could be strong and possibly severe, mainly for areas along and south of the I-20 corridor tomorrow afternoon and early evening,” said Byrd.
He said Wednesday will likely be the day for the heaviest rain, but showers will stick around and there may be some more heavy rain on Saturday (that’s right, looks like another ruined weekend).
“To be honest it looks like showers are going to be in the forecast through Monday and possibly Tuesday, then after that there may be a chance of drying out.”
Byrd said you can expect a “pretty wet” pattern.
