Today, just after what would have been Elvis Presley’s 80th birthday a new album is released.
The King of Rock, and one of Mississippi’s most well-known musicians recorded vocals between 1956 and 1973 that have been coupled with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and have been released on a new album called “If I Can Dream: Elvis Presley with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.”
Priscilla Presley commented to USA Today, “It gives me chills,” if reference to the album after sitting in on a private listening session in June. Elvis performs a virtual duet with singer Michael Buble on the track “Fever and Dwayne Eddy is also featured in other songs on the album. Priscilla Presley is a producer on the album.
Other songs you can find are Love Me Tender, Burning Love, How Great Thou Art, and of course the title track If I Can Dream. In an attempt to showcase material that had seemingly been lost former wife Priscilla Presley feels that the King of Rock would have been proud of the diverse display of music this record represents.
