NEW YORK — The intellectual property of Elvis Presley has been sold a corporation in New York, called Authentic Brands Group (ABG.) That means they now manage all the licensing and merchandising for Presley’s image, name, likeness, as well as all of his movies, photos, music, and Graceland.
ABG bought the King’s property from Core Media Group. They are not saying how much they bought it for, but since Presley’s licensing generates about $32 million a year, it is safe to say it definitely was not cheap.
