It is definitely a new day in the Egg Bowl rivalry, as Mississippi State head coach Joe Moorhead referred to his opponent this week as “Ole Miss”, marking the first time in nine years the name of the Bulldogs’ archrival was uttered in a press conference here in Starkville. Moorhead talked to the local media on Monday, explaining how he plans to handle the emotion of the game and the potent Ole Miss offense.
Moorhead’s offense has been really good this year against subpar defenses, and the Rebels rank dead last in the SEC in that regard. It will be interesting to see if the Bulldogs can duplicate their success from last Saturday on Thanksgiving. We’ll talk about that and much more today on SportsTalk Mississippi, coming to you today from the TimeOut Sportsbook at Golden Moon Resort.
