An east Mississippi mother has been locked up for assaulting a school official.
First reported by WTOK, 34-year-old Aleisia Roosvettia Johnson-Holiday was arrested on Monday after visiting East Kemper Elementary School in Scooba and allegedly confronting one of her child’s teachers.
An altercation reportedly broke out. The school’s assistant principal attempted to intervene and was struck multiple times.
The incident was then said to have relocated to the school’s parking lot. The suspect then allegedly continued to hound the unidentified teacher. Attempts to separate Johnson-Holiday from the educator ensued, but the parent allegedly proceeded to strike the teacher in the arm and hit the assistant principal in the face before being apprehended by police.
Johnson-Holiday is charged with two felony counts of assault on a school official. Her bond was set at $30,000.
