More Drugs Off Your Streets: Repeat Offender Arrested in Natchez Bust

News Miss. affiliate WQNZ assisted with this report.

NATCHEZ, Miss.–More drugs are off your streets after a bust in Natchez Tuesday. Three pounds of dope, guns and all the stuff to make it ready to sell were taken by the Natchez Metro Narcotics Unit, Adams Co. deputies and Sheriff Chuck Mayfield.

The guy who they say had all the stuff was a repeat offender and this was Tremaine Perry’s fourth time to be busted for drugs since 2002.

This time they hope to have his operation shut down for good.

In addition to the three lbs. of pot, there was packaging, two handguns, and $500 cash. When the team got to the house, Perry was not home, but they found him on the street just two hours later.

When they arrested him, he had more pot in his car, another gun and $250 in drug money, said police.

These are the charges: possession of marijuana with intent to distribute while in possession of a firearm and three counts of possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. Perry is being held in the Adams County jail without bond until arraignment.
