LEAKE COUNTY, Miss.–Saving his little girl’s life was the last mission of Julius Reed, 41, of Kosciusko. He died Thursday on the Pearl River near the Hwy. 35 bridge in Leake County.
Kicks967.com reported that Reed saw his daughter get into trouble when she got into deep water, so he swam out to get her.
Just as he was getting her back to the bank, he got cramps and went under. His daughter made it back safely.
