A fatality has been confirmed following a crash between a truck and a side-by-side utility terrain vehicle on Tuesday.
The Oxford Police Department reports that the two-vehicle accident occurred in the southbound lane of Highway 7 just before the Highway 30 bridge.
According to law enforcement, the driver of the UTV succumbed to injuries at the scene. The driver of the truck, a 2015 Dodge Ram 2500, sustained minor injuries.
“We extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends affected by this incident,” a portion of a release from the Oxford Police Department reads.
The accident is currently under investigation by OPD and no further details are available at this time.
