The Mississippi Fair Commission announced that tickets to the 53rd annual Dixie National Rodeo will go on sale to the general public on January 3, 2018, at 10 a.m. The Dixie National Rodeo is the largest professional rodeo east of the Mississippi River and attracts cowboys and cowgirls from across the nation and internationally to compete each year.
The Dixie National Rodeo kicks off February 8 and runs through February 14, 2018. The rodeos are scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. each weekday. Two performances will take place on Saturday, February 10, at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The Sunday, February 11, performance will begin at 3 p.m. At the conclusion of each rodeo, concerts will be performed by the following entertainers:
- Thursday, February 8 — Josh Turner
- Friday, February 9 — Frank Foster
- Saturday, February 10 — Bellamy Brothers
- Sunday, February 11 — John Michael Montgomery
- Monday, February 12 — Riley Green
- Tuesday, February 13 — Corey Smith
- Wednesday, February 14 — Brett Young
The Smith, Harper, and Morgan Rodeo Company produces the Dixie National Rodeo, which has been nominated as one of the Top 5 Large Indoor Rodeos of the Year by the Cowboys in the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association for the past five years.
