JACKSON, Miss. – A new monument honoring the 31st Infantry Division, better known as the Dixie Division now stands in the capital city.
A dedication ceremony Thursday honored the division’s 21,000 members from WWI to the Korean War and its supporting units. Several Veterans showed up to pay tribute.
A few Korean War veterans were able to tell their stories.

The Dixie Division is the 7th oldest regiment in the United States.
