NEW ALBANY, Miss.–Friends, family and police officers from all over Mississippi came to say goodbye Sunday to Deputy Clinton Frazier. The 36-year-old Union County deputy was killed last week when his car crashed . Now the MBI says somene else was involved in the crash and left the scene when it happened.
Friday Crystil Byers of Pontotoc County was charged with leaving the scene and culpable negligent manslaughter.
The MBI said she caused the crash that killed Frazier. She then fled. Frazier may have been trying to pull her over for no headlight.
Frazier leaves behing a wife and three kids. His funeral was Sunday at New Albany Presbyterian Church.
