RIDGELAND, Miss– A person was spotted with a gun at the Delta Technical College building. Classes are cancelled.
Lt. Bryan Meyers with the Ridgeland Police Department says when they arrived at the school they didn’t have much to go on.
“We got a call about a man with a gun in the building, wearing an orange shirt,” says Meyers.
Officers arrived within two minutes of the call. They took in one suspect. Meyers says he was in his car and had several guns.
“We located two handguns that turned out to be BB guns, and one sniper style rifle that turned out to be a pellet rifle,” says Meyers.
No name released yet, but Meyers says the suspect is seventeen years-old, so the matter will be handled by juvenile court.
