On Saturday morning Jackson Police Officers responded to 1536 Deer Park St. regarding suspicious activity in this area. When they arrived officers found the head of an unidentified black man.
Once the coroner arrived at the scene it was confirmed to be a decapitated head, severed at the neck. The remaining part of the body was not located during the course of the initial investigation. Investigators are in the process of attempting to identify the deceased. The cause of death at this time appears to be severance.

Later that afternoon police found a a burned body also in Jackson, that was missing a head. They are waiting for the coroner to confirm if they who bodies are related.
