As a cold front pushed through parts of Mississippi on Tuesday night, storms rolled through and caused some damage.
The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) says eight to ten homes were damaged in Rankin county from overnight storms and several roads were covered with heavy debris. No injuries have been reported.
The National Weather Service says a small tornado touched down in southern Rankin County.
MEMA officials will be flying a drone today to assess damage.
As we move through the Thanksgiving holiday, no other severe weather is expected, but temperatures will gradually begin to fall and feel more seasonal across the state.
