SYLVESTER, GA. — Lowndes County deputies are headed to Sylvester, Georgia to pick up the couple arrested after a multi-state Amber Alert search for their two-year-old daughter.
Donald Harris and Allison Studdard were wanted on drug charges and face questions after fleeing the state with the toddler after a second child was found dead. Investigators are not sure if the 7-month-old died as a result of foul play and have ordered an autopsy.
Harris and Studdard were found by Sylvester police just after midnight Thursday and were taken to the Worth County Jail. They waived extradition and have volunteered to return to Mississippi.
