A man and a woman are behind bars in Marshall County after allegedly shooting at a woman who was driving her children to school Thursday morning.
According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, Donald Hans II and Julie Lewis were taken into custody after the incident on Victoria Road.
Officials said an unidentified mother was driving her children to school around 7:45 a.m. when she was allegedly shot at by Hans and Lewis. There were no reported injuries in the shooting.
An array of weapons and narcotics were seized after the arrests, including drugs containing traces of fentanyl. Both Hans and Lewis reportedly had drugs in their system when they were taken into custody.
Sheriff Kenny Dickerson said that there is no further threat to the public, though Hans has a criminal background and both he and Lewis could be linked to separate shootings that occurred across state lines in Tennessee.
