MENDENHALL, Miss. — The ex-Mississippi police chief, accused of demanding people give him money or property to have criminal charges against them dropped, is expected to plead guilty in a federal bribery and extortion case.
Former Mendenhall Police Chief Donald “Bruce” Barlow was arrested in March and charged with 17 counts including witness intimidation and bribery. His plea change hearing is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon in a Jackson federal court.
