Authorities have seized contraband introduced at the Yazoo County Regional Correctional Facility.
Police were dispatched to the jail on Saturday around 1:09 a.m. in reference to a pair of subjects near the outer perimeter fence. The individuals, who have yet to be captured by law enforcement, were spotted donning all black.
Once officers arrived at the scene, they got in contact with jail staff and located contraband inside the fence line. Police confiscated more than 20 alcohol-filled soda bottles and four bags of marijuana that the two subjects hurled into the facility.
“We will continue to make every attempt possible to keep this kind of behavior from entering the facility,” a statement from the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Office reads.
No arrests have been made in connection with this case. Authorities are continuing to investigate.
