Construction for Mississippi’s first Topgolf venue is set to begin by the end of the year following a vote by Ridgeland Mayor Gene McGee and the Board of Alderman.
Ridgeland officials gave their approval of the proposed site plan and architectural review on Tuesday, Oct. 3 allowing the project to become eligible for a building permit.
Now, the groundbreaking for the new Topgolf facility — which will be located at Prado Vista off Interstate 55 in Ridgeland — is scheduled to begin in the next 60 days.
The location will feature 60 climate-controlled outdoor hitting bays, chef-driven menu items, top-shelf drinks, music, and year-round programming. It’s expected to be fully equipped with Topgolf’s proprietary Toptracer technology to accurately trace the flight path of golf balls.
Approximately 200 people will be employed at the new Topgolf facility.
Plans to construct the two-level venue were announced in July 2022, with additional projects in the area set to include hotels, retail stores, restaurants, an entertainment facility, over 200 homes, a grocery store, and a river walk.
