An update on a highly-anticipated development in central Mississippi — construction equipment has been spotted at the future Topgolf location in Ridgeland.
Site developer Gabriel Prado, PraCon Global Investment Group CEO, plans to hold a groundbreaking event at the location off Interstate 55 in Ridgeland at Colony Park Boulevard and Sunnybrook Road sometime this month. A specific date has not yet been announced.
“While I cannot share the specific details, I can tell you that we are working for a groundbreaking ceremony in February for Prado Vista at Ridgeland,” Prado stated. “This project has been in the works for over two years, and I am very grateful for all of the people that were involved in the public and private sector to get it to the finish line. Mississippi is a land of winners, and we are showing the world the momentum that those winners are building.”

The site, coined Prado Vista, has plans to feature a national grocery store, two high-end hotels, office space, retail stores, a river walk, and over 200 homes in the future. Topgolf’s development is phase one of the project.
City officials gave their stamp of approval for the proposed site plan and architectural review back in October allowing the project to become eligible for a building permit.
Ridgeland’s Topgolf will feature 60 climate-controlled outdoor hitting bays, chef-driven menu items, top-shelf drinks, music, and year-round programming. It’s expected to be fully equipped with Topgolf’s proprietary Toptracer technology to accurately trace the flight path of golf balls.
Developers also plan to use a wetland site at the location to construct a riverwalk to attract more tourists to the metro Jackson area.
In all, Topgolf alone is anticipated to bring 200 hundred jobs and over $1 million in tax revenue to Madison County.
