WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Alan Nunnelee will return soon to Mississippi to continue his recovery from a stroke.
“My medical team says I have made significant progress, and in their expert opinion, I am now ready to return to my beloved Mississippi for the remainder of my outpatient stroke rehabilitation,” Nunnelee said in an email Friday morning.
The 55-year-old had a stroke while in surgery to remove cancer from his brain this past June at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Texas. He was transferred to Johns Hopkins University Hospital to continue chemo and radiation treatments.
