The primary election for the open seat in Mississippi’s Third Congressional District is two weeks away, and tonight, the GOP candidates will take the stage at the Brandon Civic Center for a debate.
Moderated by Supertalk Mississippi’s Paul Gallo and Jennifer Hall with the Rankin County Republican Women, the debate will be a chance for voters to gauge each candidates’ knowledge and positions on important issues that they would have to deal in D.C. Those tuning in or attending the debate can expect to hear the candidates discuss what sets them apart in the race while offering potential solutions to infrastructure issues, the gun control debate and even new questions that the state faces, such as the legalization of sports betting.
The candidates taking part in tonight’s debate include:
- State Senator Sally Doty
- Business owner Morgan Dunn
- District Attorney Michael Guest
- Businessman Whit Hughes
- Businessman Perry Parker
- Former Educator Katherine Tate
The debate will begin at 6:00 p.m. and can be heard on select Supertalk Mississippi stations, or a live feed will be available on Facebook at Supertalk Mississippi and News Mississippi.
