A woman from Columbus has claimed over $542,000 in prize money after purchasing the winning ticket in the June 21 Mississippi Match 5 drawing.
The player explained that she typically purchases five Match 5 tickets weekly with the Quick Pick option. This week, however, she chose to purchase ten tickets from Texaco Food Mart on Highway 45 North in Columbus.
After checking seven of the ten tickets, the woman saw the winning numbers of 02-16-22-28-31, resulting in her claiming the half-a-million-dollar prize.
The next Powerball drawing of an estimated $346 million jackpot will be on Monday at 9:59 p.m. with the over $328 million Mega Millions drawing set for Tuesday at 10:00 p.m.
