The Starkville Police Department is investigating the death of a local college student who passed away Friday morning.
According to their Facebook page officers responded to Maxwell Street on Friday, July 21 and found someone dead.
At this point in the investigation they do believe the death came from a gunshot wound, however they do believe it could have been self inflicted.
The investigation is pending.
