OXFORD, Miss.–The Ole Miss Rebels are looking for their fourth win of the season as they host the Memphis Tigers (2-1) at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium Saturday. If the Rebs can pull it off, it’ll be the first time they’ve been 4-0 since 1970.
The MSU Bulldogs have the week off to get rested and prepare for top-ranked Texas A&M. The Dawgs are coming off of their first win against LSU since 1999.
Meanwhile, the tide seems to have shifted for the entire Southeastern Conference over the past three or four years, and you’ve probably noticed the way SEC teams play leans more toward an outstanding offense.
That’s according to sports writer Russ Mitchell, on Head to Head Radio Thursday.
“Now we have some of the best offenses in the country. In fact, now we have four of the top 11 offenses in terms of yards per attempts,” he said. “In fact, it’s shifting more in the west than the east.”
