CANTON, Miss.–A cold-blooded killing happened Monday night at Fat Boy’s convenience store in Canton. A 13-year-old boy was shot by robbers just as the family prepared to give them the money.
It happened just before 11 p.m. at the store where the family worked and lived at 720 Roby St., reported News Mississippi affiliate WMGO reporter Jerry Lousteau.
Shot and killed was Mahad Saheid. His father was also shot and was in surgery Tuesday morning.
Police worked through the night to identify a suspect and may have had someone in custody Tuesday morning, but no arrests had been made.
