SOUTHAVEN, Miss. – A staffer for the Thad Cochran Campaign was fired after he was accused of damaging and stealing Chris McDaniel campaign signs, according to a report from breitbart.com

News Mississippi received a partial police report from Jackson lawyer, Mitchell Tyner, which read Lee Ellis Blair “did willfully, unlawfully and maliciously or mischievously disfigure, destroy, injure (or cause to be) a Chris McDaniel campaign sign, the personal property of Tea Party Express. The report was filed Sunday. He was charged with malicious mischief.

According to WMC, Blair turned himself into police Monday morning. He also resigned from his position as the Desoto County Republican Club’s vice president and from the Desoto County Republican Party’s executive committee.

Cochran’s campaign manager said Blair was fired because “unlike Chris McDaniel, we don’t tolerate that.”

On facebook, McDaniel supporter, Walter Hopper III, added these photos of the signs which he said had been taken and destroyed by Blair.
