A Clinton man has been convicted of hiring a hitman to kill his stepfather.
28-year-old Joshua Druid Bryan, on Friday, was found guilty of murder for hire, conspiracy to commit murder for hire, and solicitation to commit a crime of violence.
According to court documents and evidence presented at trial, Bryan hired a hitman to murder another person. Sources tell SuperTalk Mississippi News that the individual Bryan attempted to have killed was his stepfather, whose name has not officially been released by law enforcement.
The suspect conspired with his sister, Regan Bryan, to commit the offense. Regan previously pled guilty to her role in the murder-for-hire ploy.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives investigated the case. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Kevin Payne and Matt Allen prosecuted the case.
