Thousands have visited the Mississippi Civil Rights and History Museums since the pair opened back in December.
Today, as the nation celebrates Martin Luther King Day, the museum is offering free admission to all of those who visit. A special announcement was made on the museum’s website.
“Free admission to the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum and the Museum of Mississippi History Saturday, January 13, through Tuesday, January 16, compliments of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. The museums will be open on Monday.”
The free event also coincides with the “National Day of Racial Healing” which falls on Tuesday.
The museums are not typically open on Mondays. For regular hours and info, visit the museum website – here
